Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34
There are two burdens no one can bear-yesterday's and tomorrow's . No person gives way beneath the burdens of today. It's the ones of yesterday and the ones of tomorrow that break us. Too much for any human to bear. The wolves that howled at you yesterday are already gone; and the roaring loins you see for tomorrow nat be only friendly kittens.
One way to elimainate worry from your life is to froget the things which are behind. This was the psychology the apostle Paul followed in his own life. He said:
Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Dragging a lengthening chain of regerts from the dead past is like the life of a prisoner with a ball and chain around his ankle.
Another way to prevent ulcer-creating apprehension is to live in the present rather than the future. Fear is the dread of trouble to come and a feeling of inability to hanlle it. But if I admit no evil I cannot surmount, with God's help, then I shall not be afraid as each day dawns.
Thought For Today
Keep your fears to yourself; share your courage with others. It takes a lot of things to prove you are smart, but only one thing to prove you are ignorant.
